BRIEF HISTORY OF SIMDEGA JUDGESHIP
Creation of Simdega Judgeship :- Simdega Judgeship was established in the year 2001 (01.10.2001) vide Memo No. 1550/J. Ranchi, dated 24.09.2001 of Principal Secretary, Department of Law, Government of Jharkhand, Ranchi.
Hon’ble Mr. Justice D.N. Prasad was the first Administrative Judge of Simdega Judgeship and Sri Hari Bhushan Prasad Sinha was the first District & Sessions Judge. It is acquainted with Eight Court Rooms, Medical Dispensary, Bio Metric System and Solar Panel as well as Special Investigation Prosecution Unit.
Hon’ble Mrs Justice Anubha Rawat Choudhary is sitting Administrative Judge of Simdega Judgeship.
District Legal Services Authority and Permanent Lok Adalat Simdega is running in separate building i.e Old Court Building.
